feel good music 2000s playlist

There are some songs that never fail to make me smile. “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, Kanye West’s “We Don’t Care.” But these songs are fairly well known, so here are some underrated feel good songs 2000s jams to start off your day.

1. The Avalanches — Since I Left You

There’s so much magic in the Avalanches’ “Since I Left You.” If there was a “final credits” song to life that gave you that last reminder of how exhilarating and crazy the entire journey was, it would be this. The album contains over 3,500 unique samples and is some of the most fun you’ll ever have with music. A staple for “Feel Good Songs 2000s”

2. Amy Winehouse — He Can Only Hold Her

With production from the legendary Mark Ronson, “He Can Only Hold Her” is Amy Winehouse at her best. Off the acclaimed Back to Black album, it’s a song about being in a relationship while you still miss your last lover.

Jazzy instrumentation and Winehouse’s bring-the-house-down vocals make for an incredible pop song that you can’t get enough of.

3. Röyksopp — Remind Me

Yes, this is the “GEICO Airport” commercial song — and it’s a banger. “Remind Me” is the fourth single by Norwegian electro-pop duo Röyksopp and it’s the kind of song that’s so catchy, you may need to see a therapist to get it out of your head.

The song is playful yet commands this hypnotic pace allowing you to get lost in a world of psychedelic bliss — no wonder GEICO chose it.

4. Erykah Badu — Hello (Ft. Andre 3000)

When you get Ms. Erykah Badu and 3 Stacks on the same track, you stop what you’re doing and go listen. These are two of the best to ever do it in hip-hop and R&B, and they melt your heart on this track from Erykah’s “But You Caint Use My Phone” mixtape.

The pair might be long separated, but their chemistry and music-making magic is undeniable
